Principles That Guide My Work

Clarity

Whether writing, designing, or teaching martial arts, clarity ensures my messaging is easy to understand.

Consistency

Professionalism depends on consistency, which ultimately leads to successful work.

Specificity

Amidst generalists and the generic tone of AI, I maintain specificity to meet the unique needs of every project.

Writing

Throughout my writing career, I've served as a member of the Tree.com Editorial Team, created content for the PictureThis – Plant Identifier App, worked with several marketing agencies, and much more.

I’m open to all types of writing assignments. If you have a project for which I would be a good fit, contact me at any time.

Design

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 2017.

Since then, I've worked as a professional designer for a small landscape architecture firm in Berkshire County and offered freelance design services to clients throughout the country.

The three projects below showcase the skills I've built throughout that time.

Parish House Ramp

An ADA-compliant ramp and site plan for a community landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places

Great Estate Resort

A complete site plan, grading, and stormwater management, transforming an 80+ acre estate into a work-class health spa resort

Community Walking Path

An apartment complex's emergency access drive doubles as a meandering walking path through the Montana landscape

Martial Arts

I'm a black belt in jiu-jitsu with over 12 years of training and coaching experience. During that time, I've practiced martial arts at several gyms with high-level instructors and professional mixed martial arts fighters.

Currently, I teach at New City Jiu-Jitsu in Easthampton. If you're a beginner in the Western Massachusetts area, I encourage you to join my class or contact me to schedule a private lesson. Regardless of your experience, if you're looking for a place to learn martial arts, New City is likely an excellent fit for you.
